Walk Details

Distance walked: 4.5 miles

Total ascent: 832 ft

OS map used: 287 - West Pennine Moors

Time taken: 2hrs

Route description: B6235-Holden Wood Reservoir-Tenements Farm-Ogden Reservoir-Calf Hey Reservoir-Hog Lowe Pike-Calf Hey Reservoir-Ogden Reservoir-Tenements Farm-Holden Wood Reservoir-B6235

I started this evening walk from the side of the B6235 at Holden Wood in Haslingden. From there I took a footpath upto Holden Wood Reservoir and across its dam. I then used a track that goes to Tenements Farm turning left onto a field footpath before reaching the farm. I then followed this path above Ogden and Calf Hey Reservoirs. Above Calf Hey Reservoir the footpath forks, take the left fork signposted to Hoddlesden. I then followed this path uphill to Hog Lowe Pike. The same route was used in reverse for the return journey.
