Time taken: 2.5 hrs

I made the most of a gap in the poor weather of this weekend by heading from home in Foulridge up onto Great Edge and Noyna Hill. Apart from a brief shower, which gave a spectacular rainbow, it stayed dry, but it was very windy and it must have been blowing a gale up on Great Edge and Noyna Hill. That strong wind gave a lovely diffuse light for photography as I took in the view west to Pendle Hill from Noyna Hill.
From where I live in Foulridge I made my way up to the New Inn on Skipton Old Road. I then took the footpath opposite, up and across the hillside above to Broach Flat Farm and then along a track to Foulridge Upper Reservoir and Castle Road. I then walked east along Castle Road until I reached a footpath on the left across a field to Cockhill Lane, which I walked north along, taking a footpath on the left to bypass the ford, up past Noyna Road and up Cob Lane to Noyna End Farm. I left the road here for a footpath on the right through a gate, down to and across Moss Houses Beck, and up onto Great Edge, before returning to Cob Lane by the same route. From Noyna End Farm I then made my way up onto Noyna Hill, reaching access land through a gate on the northern side of the hill. After taking in the views I followed the footpath from Noyna Hill down to Skipton Old Road for a return to home in Foulridge.
